As horas passam naquele jardim
Jardim das flores mortas
Onde as crianças não brincam…
Onde ficam gentes num descanso sem fim…
Onde as noites são tão claras como o dia
E na laje há uma rosa só para mim…
Não deixem que a rosa murche
Nem que leve a minha fantasia;
Deixai a minha rosa com a beleza
Depois do orvalho matinal…
Deixai que a rosa esconda a verdade
Perfumando a Natureza,
Disfarçando a minha realidade…
